One of our young donor standouts at Bulls Eye Ranch. Colbi 831 was shown by Derrick Smith and placed at top of the Open Gray Brahman division at San Antonio. She is the kind of female we are building the ranch around- long bodied, deep, heavy boned, very feminine fronted with excellent breed character and that quiet BER disposition.
She represents our BER cow family that goes back to our foundation donors like Miss BER 218,277 and +JDH Goudeau 130/1 -proven producers of champion herd sires.
Sire of Embryos: King Garrett
King Garrett is our power outcross herd sire at BER. We selected him for his mass, bone, top line and perfect feet and legs. He is a bull that adds muscle and volume without sacrificing sheath, hump placement or movement. He is fertile, early maturing and passes that Brahman look we all want-dark pigmented, loose hide and plenty of style.
This is a line breeding to excellence not just a pedigree mating. Colbi brings femininity and correctness, King Garrett brings power and masculinity.
What to expect from this mating:
For the Show String: stylish, heavy bone calves gray calves with breed character, pigment and that BER look that wins. Expect excellent top lines and great moving calves.
For the Pasture: Moderate birth weight, vigorous calves that get up and nurse. Daughters will be broody, fertile and long lived- the kind that will make your next donor. Sons will be the kind of Bulls commercial cattlemen in Texas want- heat tolerant, sound and fertile at a young age.
